Twin Wall Systems - No chimney no problem

Can i have a wood burning stove with no chimney? The short answer is with twin wall flue yes. It can be routed either via the outside wall and up past the gutter or it can go up through the property into the loft and out through the roof in some cases internally it will have to be boxed in with inspection hatches. We would always advise a site survey first to find  the best route for you.

With so many contemporary and traditional freestanding stoves you can be sure to find the look you desire.

The only thing to beware when buying any twin wall flue system online is that cheap isn’t always best - after a few years the pipe brackets and seals tend to rust and snap leaving you with a leaking inefficient and dangerous flue system - make sure its hetas approved and from a reputable manufacturer - also check for distances from combustibles and the grade of metal - we would also advise a screw lock system as it adds extra strength.

We only use dochertys excelsior twin wall flue or nova depending on the installation

When having any flue system installed onto a solid fuel or wood-burning appliance make sure your stove fitter is correctly registered as the new H006 HETAS qualification is needed to install an internal twin wall flue. If your engineer isn’t qualified then your install will be illegal and not covered by your insurance and also not covered by the installers insurance

Any gas appliance can be installed the same way though people tend to go down the route of balanced flue or power flue and even flueless
